Rosalyn Yellin

An exclusive Interview with Rosalyn Yellin – a conversation on familly, philantropy, enterpreneurship, life in Palm Beach & beyond by Palm Beach Socialite.

How would you describe yourself? Take us to your personal life story.

My life story is complex. I love where my journey has taken me. I was lucky to fall in love and marry the love of my life who is an amazing husband. I have 5 wonderful children and 4 incredible grandchildren. I’m very proud of how far I’ve come in my life.

I am the daughter of immigrants. My mother was born in Germany and my father in Italy. I was raised in a very strict household. I was sent to boarding school for high school to a different country where I did not speak the language. That was quite difficult for me. I truly believe that hardships and obstacles definitely make us stronger.

We are better people when we overcome and conquer life’s challenges. The key To being fulfilled and happy is to learn how to be grateful and to give back. Helping others Is the greatest thing that we can do.

You wear many hats: entrepreneur, philanthropist, reality show star, wife, mother, and grandmother. Which role brings you the greatest joy and why?

The role that brings me the greatest joy in life is being a mother and knowing that I have created a legacy. Naturally grandmother flows from being a mother so being a mother and grandmother goes hand-in-hand.

It is truly incredible to watch your children become adults and have children of their own. It fills my heart with joy and brings me so much happiness.

Family appears to be a very important part of your life. Tell us about your family and what being a wife, mother, and grandmother means to you.

Being a wife, mother and grandmother is central to who I am as a human being. When you have five children and you’re a great mother, you can not be selfish. You learn to put others first.

My family always came first, and still does. When the children were little, I was quite busy raising them and then running around to all of their afterschool activities, school, showing them and leading by example what community service looks like and placing great value on getting a good education. It all paid off as all five of my children are grown adults standing on their 2 feet and contributing to society. I love seeing what wonderful mothers my two daughters are.

I am so proud of all five of my children. Being a great wife is very important to me. Because when the children leave the house and you become empty nesters, are you going to look at your husband with a zest and excitement that you get to live a new chapter with him? Will your husband be your best friend?

In my case my husband is best friend, my partner and a wonderful father. We always had so many dreams and goals that we wanted to accomplish together that when the children went off to college, although it is sad, we were filled with excitement for what was yet to come.

What is one lesson from your life journey that has shaped the woman you are today? And what is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

One of the greatest lessons my life’s journey has taught me is that you should never compare yourself to others. You truly never know what somebody has been through. People can be cruel, but I have chosen to see the good in others. And to lead with a heart that genuinely loves to help.

At the end of the day, you just have to rise above. Something that might surprised people about me is that I’m a huge fan of hip-hop and old-school music. If there’s a good beat, I’m dancing to it! I love being silly and letting loose. While there is certainly a serious and philanthropic side to me, at my core I’m someone who knows how to have fun and not take myself too seriously.

You have been deeply involved in philanthropy throughout Palm Beach & Beyond. How did your philanthropic journey begin? And what motivates you to continue giving your time, money and energy to charitable work?

My philanthropic journey began in Pennsylvania where I was a central part of my community. I raised money for ALS by having dance parties, helped to deliver food to needy people with meals on wheels, made it a family affair, walking to raise money for ovarian cancer and always try to lead by example with my children.

I taught them and showed them the importance of giving back and helping others. I am motivated to continue to give my time, energy and expertise to charitable work because it is deeply personal for me to give back and help other people and animals.

As the winner of the MirrorBall Champion benefiting Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope, you helped raise more than $200,000 for the organization. What did that achievement mean to you personally?

My mother passed away from ovarian cancer when she was only 54 years old. I danced in her memory. As always, I gave it my all to raise as much money as I could in a few months to help cancer patients. The cause was deeply personal and my feelings are real.

Knowing that somebody is fighting for their life going through cancer treatments, but worrying about putting food on the table or paying their rent or keeping the lights on genuinely hurts my heart. I know that the money I raised will go directly to helping cancer patients in need in Palm beach County.

Now, If someone has never heard of Yuvetica before, what would you want them to know? What inspired you to create Yuvetica, and what problem were you hoping to solve?

Yuvetica was created from my own personal need for a supplement I could truly trust. I make this supplement right here in Florida. Personally I cannot take multiple supplements without feeling sick or nauseous. So, I wanted to create something simple and effective. My supplement requires only two capsules per day and addresses many of the reasons I would normally take several different supplements.

I have combined with the latest technology everything that makes me look and feel great. It is full strength biotin, resveratrol, PQQ, patent pending Yuth, and more. Yuvetica helps with cellular turnover for glowing, healthy skin, energy, and Hair Skin and Nail Health.

And what makes Yuvetica different from other wellness and beauty products on the market? Where people can learn more about and buy Yuvetica

What makes my product different is that it is made right here in Florida in a beautiful clean facility. I tried many combinations before bringing this product to market. It has been over two years that my husband and I have been taking it. And we brought it to market after one and a half years. It is incredible and everyone who takes it loves it and my customers are repeat Customers. They don’t want to go a day without it. People can purchase it on www.Yuvetica.co

The name Yuvetica is unique and memorable. What does the name means and how did you come up with it?

When I was a little girl, the fanciest Salon in town was called Esthetica. And I always associated it with being beautiful. My product has a Patent Pending ingredient in it called Yuth. So I combined.yuth and Esthetica to Yuvetica.

What has been the biggest challenge and biggest reward of having your own brand Yuvetica?

The biggest challenge is marketing and the biggest reward is that I know that I’m taking something 100% clean, third-party tested, and it fills exactly the needs of a woman who wants to be healthy, energetic, youthful, and natural. I feel good taking it and at the end of the day I know that I’m helping other people who take it.

You are one of the stars of Members Only Palm Beach. What has that experience been like for you, has life changed for you, if at all?

Being one of the Cast members of members only Palm beach has been the best thing that I’ve done since I moved to Florida. it was deeply rewarding for me. I learned a lot about myself and I’ve also learned how cruel other people can be. I guess I was a bit naïve about the cruelty of others. I learned to use my voice more than I have in the past. I also learned how people will spin a narrative.

Members Only Palm Beach sparked a lot conversation and strong opinion about the show, the lifestyle, the fashion and Palm Beach Community, did reading public comments and reactions ever affect you emotionally, have you learned to separate public opinion from your personal truth?

Reading the comments was very eye-opening and interesting. Negative comments say a lot more about the person who wrote them than about the recipient. Nobody is a perfect person. I’d always hoped that my actions as a good human being, philanthropist and helping others would speak for itself.

All of the Cast members are different on the show. It is impossible to say that all five of us are similar or the same when we are all extremely different. I’ve gotten way more love than negative comments. People from all over the world message me every single day how inspirational I am. Young girls message me that they want to be like me. I get compliments on my beautiful dresses and gowns and the nicest messages one can imagine.

Any negative or hurtful comments from local people who throw stones, but live in a glass house, should learn about acceptance, inclusivity and being kind.

Where you ever nervous about how your family, friends or the Palm Beach Community would react to seeing you on Members Only Palm Beach?

I was never nervous about how my family friends or the Palm beach community would react seeing me on Members only Palm beach because I always carry myself to a very high standard. I did not do anything on the show that would be considered embarrassing or negative. My family and friends loved it.

Has being on Netflix Reality Show changed the way people see you, or has it simply allowed them to see more of who you already are?

Being on Netflix has definitely changed my life. I get recognized around the world. People have stopped me in France while we were in Paris. And when I was in LA at a beautiful hotel, the manager personally came out to greet me, because she loved me on the show and graciously gave me the most beautiful Suite in the hotel as a complimentary upgrade. The response from viewers across the globe has been overhelmingly kind and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful.

I just got back from New York where I was stopped many times on the street and I love taking pictures with people and I love hearing how much they love Members Only Palm beach.

If season 2 gets the green light, what can viewers expect from Rosalyn Yellin that they haven’t seen yet?

If we get greenlight and have a second season, I will be more aware of how a storyline works, and I would hope to control more of my narrative and not be manipulated into someone else’s storyline.

What is your favorite Palm Beach tradition or annual event, and why does it hold a special place in your heart?

My favorite Palm beach tradition is the Shop The Day Away luncheon at athe Breakers for Cancer Alliance. It was one of the first Charity events that I attended when I moved to Palm Beach County and I love the fashionable and eclectic group of women that come out to support the event. It’s a lot of fun and has become an event I won’t miss.

What is your favorite restaurant in Palm Beach, and what is your go-to order?

I have two favorite restaurants. For the past six years, my favorite restaurant has been Bice and I always get chicken Milanese. But recently, I love the Polo Room and their Lobster Frite is to die for!

Palm Beach is filled with beautiful places. Do you have a favorite hotel, resort, or staycation destination?

I always love going to The Colony hotel. It’s just so fabulous. I love all of the social activities that they offer. And not to mention great shopping!

What is your favorite hidden gem in Palm Beach that more people should know about?

My favorite hidden gem in Palm Beach are all of the quaint stores that line the Vias off the beaten path. I have found that all of the store owners are so friendly, warm and welcoming.

When you’re not attending events, filming, fundraising, or working on your business, what does a perfect day at home look like for you?

I rarely have a day that’s not filled with Events, filming, or working on fundraising, but if I have the perfect day at home, that would mean getting to have a wonderful workout, an extra long skin care routine with a mask, a Bubble Bath and a hair mask. After that, I love cooking with my husband and enjoying a glass of champagne and relaxing outside on the intercoastal listening to music.

Looking back, what advice would today’s Rosalyn give to her younger self.

My younger self would be so proud of the woman who I am today. I have surpassed what I thought I could become in my wildest dreams. That is because I have true happiness and inner peace. The advice I would give to my younger self would be to not listen to others and most people don’t have your best interest at heart and you will never please everyone.

What book, mentor and or person has had the greatest influence on your life?

The person who had the greatest influence on my life was my grandmother. She recently passed away at the age of 103. She was a holocaust survivor and the stories she told me about survival and the human spirit have lit a fire in me. My grandmother escaped the Nazis by running from country to country.

Sometimes hiding, sometimes running through the woods and sometimes hiding in plain site. She was the strongest woman I know and whenever I’ve gone through any hardship in my life, I always think how my grandmother would handle it. One thing I can tell you is that I have always came out stronger.

What is one dream or goal you still hope to accomplish in the future?

My dream is to build something that outlasts me — whether through my brand, my platform, or my philanthropy — something my five children can look at and be proud of.
